The management and operation of the Hong Kong Maritime Museum are conducted by three separate but related charitable entities: the Hong Kong Maritime Museum Limited, The Hong Kong Maritime Museum Trust, and the Hong Kong Maritime Museum Endowment Trust.

Under the direction of Museum Director, approximately 27 full-time, 12 part-time and contract staff support day-to-day operations.
