Seeing in the Dark: Stories of Hong Kong Harbour and Lighthouse
To celebrate the International Museum Day, the Hong Kong Maritime Museum offers free admission on 15 and 16 May. The programme “Seeing in the Dark: Stories of Hong Kong Harbour and Lighthouse” will be back with documentary screenings, an exhibition and a discussion panel. Screenings of the documentary series “Lighthouse Memories” will be on 15 May. On 16 May, the exhibition showcases images of historical documents that have not been exhibited before in Hong Kong, and new media works by students from various disciplines of City University of Hong Kong, for instance, 3D model of Waglan Island Lighthouse by student researchers, and tactile teaching materials of lighthouse by visually impaired students. During the exhibition, a discussion panel on the recollection of voyages and lighthouse history will be held.
