Hong Kong Park
About the Event
Since the 19th century, land reclamation has played a vital role in Hong Kong’s urban development, transforming the coastal area of Central into a bustling commercial and cultural center. Combining with the “Victoria Peak - Central Green & Heritage Trail,” Hong Kong Maritime Museum and The Conservancy Association jointly organize the “Roaming the Coastline: City Guided Tour” to explore the historical architectures along the Central waterfront.
Starting from Hong Kong Park, Mr Peter Li, Senior Campaign Manager of The Conservancy Association, will lead the tour through the Murray Building, Government Hill, Murray Barracks, Chater Garden, Edinburgh Place Pedestrian Tunnel, and the Central Piers, retracing the history of the shifting shoreline in Central. Finally, there will be a visit to the Maritime Museum, where the curatorial team will introduce the museum's special collections. Participants will be able to learn more about the maritime history of Hong Kong.
