About the Event

As the last public talk of the “The Oyster Odyssey - Restoring Hong Kong’s Lost Treasure” exhibition, we are delighted to have a representative from The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to share the history and culture of the oyster reefs 🦪 in Hong Kong and Pearl River Delta.

In this sharing, we will explore different topics, including but not limited to the rich history 💬  of oysters, from their early consumption as a delectable delicacy to the establishment of oyster farms 🌾 in Hong Kong, and the sociocultural significance of oysters, shedding light on their role in shaping the traditions, cuisine🍽, and heritage of the region 🏛️.
