Free Transportation for Designated School Districts

The Hong Kong Maritime Museum has a robust schools education programme and has welcomed more than 17,500 students since re-opening our doors at Pier 8 in 2013.

From September 2015 onwards, we launched a transportation scheme for local schools in the following districts:

Islands

Kwun Tong

Sham Shui Po

Wong Tai Sin

Kwai Tsing

Northern

Tuen Mun

Yuen Long

School Programmes
 
Education is an important part of the Hong Kong Maritime Museum’s purpose and we aim to interest students in maritime history and current issues through our collections and education programmes.
 
The Museum's education programming includes guided tours, interactive workshops and activity sheets. Since reopening at Pier 8 in 2013, more than 17,500 students have visited including kindergarten, primary and secondary local schools, ESF and International schools as well as university students.
