Education is an important part of the Hong Kong Maritime Museum’s purpose and we aim to interest students in maritime history and current issues through our collections and education programmes.
The Museum's education programming includes guided tours, interactive workshops and activity sheets. Since reopening at Pier 8 in 2013, more than 17,500 students have visited including kindergarten, primary and secondary local schools, ESF and International schools as well as university students. This Teachers’ Guide has information about our permanent displays and themes, special exhibitions, learning resources and how to book and plan your visit. We offer school sessions and workshops, tours and resources on a range of topics. For many local and international schools, a visit to the Hong Kong Maritime Museum is a regular part of learning-based off campus trips.
