‘On Sharks and Humanity’ exhibition to be extended until 31 December 2017

The Hong Kong Maritime Museum is delighted to announce that the ‘On Sharks and Humanity’ exhibition will be extended until 31 December 2017. Presented by Parkview Arts Action and co-curated by the Hong Kong Maritime Museum, ‘On Sharks and Humanity’ is an exhibition demonstrating the relationship between art and society, and emphasising the social responsibility of museums and artists.

29 sets of artworks created by different artists will remain on display inside and outside the museum although some of the artworks have been dismantled, enabling the public to explore and experience art in the autumn and winter.

The contemporary art exhibition, sponsored by Hong Kong Parkview and in partnership with the international non-profit organisation WildAid, aims to raise public awareness of shark conservation in Hong Kong and the Greater Pearl River Delta region. The exhibition is the fifth edition of a multidisciplinary exhibition curated by internationally lauded curator Huang Du that has been shown in Monaco, Moscow, Beijing and Singapore to great acclaim.

In addition, children aged under 18will enjoy a free admission supported by Valles Steamship Co., Ltd.Tickets are now available at the Visitor Service Centre of Hong Kong Maritime Museum (Footbridge level, Central Pier No. 8):

HK$30 for Adults 
HK$15 for seniors (aged 60 or above) / full-time students (aged 18 or above) / people with disability (and one accompanying carer) 
Free Children admission (under 18) until 31 December 2017, supported by Valles Steamship Co., Ltd
Discounts are available for group visits of 20 or more.
